Recently retired from a 33 year long career with the Washington State Department of Ecology, where he worked as a shoreline planner and floodplain specialist. He studied oceanography at University of Washington, and is a graduate of The Evergreen State College in Olympia. Jeffree managed to quietly integrate his environmental work for Ecology with his lifelong passion for art, gradually becoming an Independent Curator, and establishing the Art In Ecology Program at the Department’s Headquarters Building in Lacey. Over a 21 year period, Jeffree organized and installed dozens of exhibitions by many artists for this inspiring Art in the Workplace venue.
